Useful is the new cool is the professional blog of Fred Kinch, Creative Director and Managing Partner at AgencyRx in New York.

After teaching English in Prague, Czechoslovakia, and living the life of a starving playwright in Manhattan’s East Village, Fred entered the world of advertising in 1995. Since then, he has worked with some of the largest pharmaceutical and packaged-goods companies in the world including Genentech Roche, Pfizer, Merck, Novartis, AstraZeneca, Upjohn, Unilever, Colgate, Amgen, Biogen, and Celgene.

As a founding partner of Lab9, Fred oversaw all agency creative work and helped grow the agency from 4 to 40 employees. Prior to this, Fred was a SVP, Group Creative Director at Cline, Davis, and Mann.

Now after the merger with Lab9, Fred serves as Creative Director and Managing Partner at AgencyRx.
